Anyone interested in helping in the fall once a month, should contact Sharon Arnold. Volunteer forms will be placed in your mailboxes this summer. Please take some time to prayerfully consider how you can help minister in the children’s classes.  While you teach or help, the children will return the blessing. Help is also needed for recreation time. Youth are encouraged to reply. The children love interacting with the youth of the church.

Invite a Friend Sunday will be held on September 12. You are encouraged to invite friends, families with children or a new baby, newcomers to the community, contacts in your clubs or organizations, Co-workers, family members, classmates, neighbors, business associates, new acquaintances, or anyone else who does not actively participate in another church. Bring your friends to Sunday school and worship. Pastor Charlie will bring the morning message, the Praise Team will be singing, and cardboard testimonies will be given.

Lunch will be provided for everyone in the Family Life Center following the 10:05 morning worship service.

We need your help to make “Invite a Friend” Sunday a special day. The meal is provided to everyone at no charge. We need approximately 30 dozen (approx. 3” diameter) in a variety of kinds (oatmeal, chocolate chip, chocolate with white icing, chocolate with peanut butter icing, pumpkin, white with chocolate filling) and ask that you bring them individually wrapped in saran wrap to the church kitchen on Sunday morning by 9:00 am. There are sign-up sheets on the bulletin board for whoopie pies and for help to serve the meal. Any leftover whoopie pies will be served at the 5th Quarter Outreach event. Questions can be directed to Janice Nolt or Kim Deitzler.

5th Quarter Outreach
Midway will again be hosting a 5th Quarter Outreach this fall after the Cedar Crest High School football game on Friday night, September 17. This will be a wonderful opportunity to serve and minister to students. The objective is to touch students with the love of Christ in a safe environment to build relationships and share our faith. We are partnering with the Students for Christ Club at the high school to do this outreach.

The time is approximately 8 – 11 pm. There will be plenty of food, some interactive video games, basketball and other activities.

We are looking for volunteers to help on the 5th Quarter evening. A sign-up sheet is posted at the SIGN-UP CORNER in the narthex. We need volunteers for food preparation and serving, security, relationship builders and clean-up. Also, please pray that God would lead us and use this opportunity to touch young lives with His love.
